Crawl Space Moisture Control in Norwalk, IA

Louis closed on his new house in September 2021 and wanted to address the issue of excessive moisture and high humidity levels in the crawl space. Excess moisture can lead to a host of problems, including mold growth, musty odors, and potential damage to the structural integrity of the house. To tackle this issue and create a more comfortable living space for Louis, we implemented a comprehensive moisture control system.

The first step involved installing CleanSpace, a durable vapor barrier that acts as a moisture barrier between the ground and the crawl space. This effective barrier prevents moisture from entering the crawl space, thus reducing the humidity levels. To further enhance the moisture control, we incorporated a drainage mat, which allows any water accumulation to be channeled away effectively.

Because of the impact of open vents on moisture infiltration, we proceeded to block off the vents, preventing outside air and humidity from entering the crawl space. This step was crucial in maintaining a controlled environment and preventing excess moisture buildup.

To efficiently manage any potential water intrusion, we installed a SmartDrain, a smart sump pump system designed to detect and pump out any excess water that may enter the crawl space. This added layer of protection ensured that Louis' crawl space remained dry and free from water-related issues.

Lastly, we implemented a Sedona dehumidifier, specifically designed for crawl spaces. The Sedona effectively regulates humidity levels, removing excess moisture from the air and creating a healthier environment.

Cracked Control Joint Sealing in West Des Moines, IA

Concrete structures often feature intentional control joints to manage cracking caused by shrinkage and temperature changes. However, if these joints are left unsealed, concerns about their effectiveness and visual appearance may arise.

One customer expressed worry over the unsealed control joints in their driveway, recognizing the importance of proper maintenance.

To resolve the problem, our team applied Nexus Pro, a high-quality joint sealant, to seal all of the control joints in the driveway. Nexus Pro provides a durable and flexible barrier that prevents moisture intrusion, prolonging the lifespan of the concrete and maintaining its visual integrity.

PolyLifted Front Steps with NexusPro Sealing in Grimes, IA

When front steps settle, it not only creates an unlevel surface but also poses a potential safety hazard for anyone using them. One customer expressed concern about the risk of accidents and desired a solution to prevent the problem from worsening.

We utilized PolyLevel, an advanced polyurethane foam lifting technique, to raise and stabilize the settled front steps. This process effectively restored the proper alignment and functionality of the steps, reducing the risk of tripping or injury.

To further enhance the longevity and aesthetics of the front entrance, we applied NexusPro, a premium joint sealant, around the step joints. NexusPro not only seals and protects the joints from moisture infiltration but also adds a polished finishing touch to the overall appearance.

By lifting the stairs and securing the joints with NexusPro, we transformed the front approach and entrance into a safer and more inviting area for all visitors. The customer can now have peace of mind, knowing that their front steps are structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing.
