Brick and stucco exteriors have been very popular in Iowa. These masonry finishes are durable, attractive, and are fireproof and immune to rot and insect attack. This gives them a big advantage over wooden exteriors. Unfortunately brick, stucco and stone walls can crack when soil conditions cause a foundation to settle, heave or buckle.... [Read more]

I am wondering if you would have a willingness to consider placing 3 helical piers underneath my deck for support? I plan to replace the existing footings and have been interested in considering the piers for replacement. It is in a bit of a tough to get to spot with low ceiling clearance (~6-7 feet) so that has been a bit of a concern for access. But, I got a quote from a competitor of yours that I was not thrilled about and am wondering if you might be able to beat their price. Let me know if it is possible or not. Thanks ahead of time.

My home is about 10 years old. When it was built the sunroom was planned as an open "covered porch/patio". The developer subsequently decided to enclose the room to form a finished, year-round sun room. all has been fine until this year. With the dry weather, on slab only, one corner of room has settled to the point that the outside door and storm are seriously dragging. We have pulled the carpet up and can find no crack. I probed from outside and there seems to be a void under one corner of the floor. There are piers on the outside corners. Will a foam treatment work for my situation?

My basement wall is caving in really bad

My home is about 10 years old. When initially built, the sun room was planned as an open porch/covered patio. Prior to the house being sold, the developer decided to enclose the walls to form a finished year round sunroom. All has been fine until this summer. With the dry weather, and setting on only an 8" slab, one corner of the room has settled to the point the outside door and storm are dragging and a typical sheetrock crack has appeared above the corner of the outside door. The room is completely finished and carpeted. We pulled the carpet up along the entire south wall and part of the east wall, the corner that is most affected, and can see no crack.???

Basement walls need straightening. One corner is particularly bad.

Last night when we got home we noticed our carpet was soaking wet so I went downstairs and vacuum it up with a Shop-Vac. Then this morning went back downstairs and the carpet was wet again. We had turned on the dehumidifier last night to try to remove the water from the carpet. This morning it seemed like there was a lot more water on the area. We noticed that some of the cracks in the basement floor and wall seemed wet.

I have a 15' x 6.5' concrete entrance pad/patio in the front of my house. One long side butts up against my house and one short side butts up against my attached garage. The corner of the pad that touches both the garage and house has sank about 4" causing water to run to that corner and into my basement. I was wanting an estimate for raising that corner so the water would run away from the house. I believe the concrete is 6' thick. Thank you.

28x32 basement leaks on the concrete seems and also along the pored concrete walls. In heavy rain conditions 2" and greater the basement leaks around the septic line and a couple of other places as well. Wondering what the cost is per square ft.

I have a 25 yr old log home built in 1991, with a poured concrete foundation / basement walls. I am seeing 45 degree cracks and vertical cracks on exterior. Am concerned it is caused by settling and also concerned the problem may get worse.
