Brian started working in the construction industry in 2005 and was swinging a hammer long before that. He grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa where he helped his dad raise corn, soybeans, and hogs. During this time, his father left his job as a project manager with a local lumber yard to go out on his own in the construction industry and Brian spent his high school years as what he describes as a “not always willing” apprentice. After high school, Brian graduated from Iowa Western Community College and continued to work in construction and agriculture. Today, Brian lives in Waukee with his wife, Megan, and their three children. He enjoys spending time playing guitar, going to tractor shows, and building small robots.
