This home in Johnston, IA had water leakage as well as mold issues due to a leaking old window. Midwest Basement Systems fixed this issue by installing a new window.
Dave noticed he had water in his crawl space and wanted to have his crawl space become a storage space for his wife to use. He didn't know who to call but then saw a commercial on the television showing him what we can do. He called and had one of our System Designers come out to his house to give him a free quote. The System Designer told Dave that we would have to encapsulate his crawl space which means we would put vent covers which would stop the cold from coming in. Second we would remove all the standing water that would be left in the crawl space. Then, we would repair the structure and finally encapsulate the crawl space. Dave was very happy with the work that was done and his wife was happy that she got to put her things in the area.
In the Midwest, many times the basement floor is cold. A very fashionable way to combat the cold is to lay down Thermal Flooring. These photos show the uncovered gray concrete standing on the stairs facing away, and the after photo shows the thermal flooring with an in-lay.
As you can see, the step down and up is quite long, and the uneven concrete is a trip hazard. This concrete patio was lifted back to level.
Here are the before and after pictures of Midwest Basement Systems leveling cement for a sidewalk in Urbandale. In the before picture you can see the unevenness on the left side of the sidewalk. In the after picture you can see that it is now level thanks to PolyLevel. No more tripping hazards are found here!
