Need quote on bowing basement walls on property im purchasing.
N. Federal St. in Hampton
Hi, Ever since I bought my house, I have had trouble with my basement. My basement has never completely flooded although there were a couple of occasions where I had standing water in parts of my basement (one of those times the electricity went out so the sump pump was not working). However, when I get torrential rain, water seeps in a couple of rooms at the base of the wall and floor. Because of that, I installed a second sump pump in my basement. Now, with the heavy rain we had on May 26, water is starting to come in places where it never has before (the main room in the basement). Like the others, it comes in at the base of the wall and floor. My basement is roughly 30x40. This seepage does not cause widespread flooding in the basement, but enough to cause headaches. I would like to do something to make it floodproof in an economical way. My back yard does not help much as it does not slope away from the house, but rather it has a little bit of a valley in the middle of the yard. Let me know if there is someone available to take a look at it and see what can be done. Thanks!

We have a half finished basement. The half that isn't finished has a crawl space and a "utility" room that is also being used as a work out room. The house was built in the late 70's. We have two concerns. We often get a sewer smell from the basement and we are not sure if it comes from the crawl space, drains, or sump pump hole. Ideally, we would like the issue fixed and would like to have the crawl space dug out and have the unfinished side "partially finished" or to a better quality. Do you do drain work when you fix basement issues or do you have the ability to figure out where the smell is coming from? Do you dig out crawl spaces? If so, we are interested in a quote. Thanks!

My basement leaks water from various places. One seems to originate from the concrete floor at the base of the steps that lead from the basement to the garage. Another from the wall, perhaps in another room. There are a few minor spots on numerous concrete blocks near the basement floor that flake away if touched. I would be interested in finishing the basement at some point in the future if I could get it to stay dry first.

Due to our location, water runs down into our yard and then seeps into our basement. We have had 1-2" of water in our whole basement...seeps through cracks in walls and floors. Have one sump pump current working (even works in winter) Want a dry basement as are wishing to remodel in future (also mold in basement from wetness) and must put everything up on a brick or off floor. Best time to visit us is Saturdays.

Our basement has had water in it twice this summer after we've received heavy rainfall. It appears that it's coming in through cracks in the floor and possibly the wall. It's worse in some parts of the basement than others. We've only owned the home one year, so I'm not sure if this happens every summer. We'd love to have a dry basement so we can actually use it and not be afraid to put items on the floor.

We recently had a sump pump malfunction and in the midst of the clean up, we discovered a very small crack in our poured foundation. It is about 10 feet from where the sump pump is and we believe it was created from poor drainage outside the house, which has been fixed. What is the best solution to fixing the crack to keep it from growing. Currently when the ground is saturated we get some seepage in through that crack. Not much at all yet.

Our basement first started leaking in 2008 and most recently had 4 inches of water this past week due to heavy rain storms. It has a living room, weight room, small storage area, one bedroom, a bathroom and laundry room. We would like to have someone give us an estimate on waterproofing it while all the flooring is up. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
